      CARDEW Miriam St. Erme- (Mirre) died peacefully on Saturday 30th October 2010, aged 87. Darling beloved wife of Tony, dearly loved mother of Marcus, Paul, Jeremy, Julian and Nicholas, grandmother and great grandmother. Funeral to be held at St. Andrews Church, Billingborough, Lincolnshire on Wednesday 10th November at 1.45 pm.

      Mirrie Cardew, Show judge and breeder of Basenjis since the 1940's with the 'St. Erme' kennel name, died peacfully on the 30th October 2010, in Lincolnshire, after a long illness, aged 87. She was also closely involved with Fox Terriers, Chihuahuas, Chinese Cresteds and Lakeland Terriers over a span of seven decades.

      She published A Basenji for Me in 1979. She was involved with the Basenji Club of Great Britain and the Basenji Owner's and Breeders Association and the Basenji Breed council since their inception.

      She is survived by her husband Tony Cardew, her five sons, ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
