Couley-Reynolds
A very pretty wedding was sole
mnised at St. Ambrose Church, Gil- gandra on Saturday last, 3rd. Sep- tember, when Miss Ivy Mabel, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Reynolds, of "Chatswood," Gilgan-
dra, was united in the holy bonds of wedlock with Mr. Harold Thomas Couley, of Bowling Alley Point, near Tamworth. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Steinhauser and Mrs. Beveridge presided at the
organ. .
The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, looked charming in an ankle length frock of ivory crepe de chene, which fell in a circular flare, and wore a dainty wreath ; and veil (kindly loaned by Mrs. Gordon Magick, of Armatree, for the occasion) . The bride carried a beautiful sheaf of May flowers, white stocks and maiden hair fern. Miss Gladys Reynolds (sister of the bride) acted as bridesmaid and wore a pretty frock of powder blue crepe de chene, with hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of pink and mauve stocks and fern.
Little Miss Zeta Reynolds (young est sister of the * bride) acted as trainbearer, arid-wore a dainty be- frilled frock of lemon voile and or- gandi hat to match.
The duties of best man were car- ried out by Mr. Lance Reynolds (brother of the bride) ...
After the- ceremony, the recep- tion was hed: at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. C.. Heiler^ where a three
tiered cake-(nicely decorated by Mrs Heiler) was cut. Rev. Steinhauser presided and the usual toasts were duly proposed, and honored.
The guests were received by the bride's mother, wearing a frock of navy crepe de chene, with hat to match, and Mrs. C. Heiler, in the
absence of. the bridegroom's par- ents, who wore a frock of black georgette.
The happy,, couple received many useful and costly presents.
Afterwards the newly weds left by car for Dubbo, and later proceed- ed to Orange, where the honeymoon is being spent. The bride travelled in a frock of navy crepe satin, re- lieved with mastic and red, and wore a becoming hat and shoes to tone.
The future home of Mr. and Mrs. Couley. will be at Wyangala.
