      FATALITY AT SAWMILL. ,

      WINGHAM, Tuesday.

      W. Curry, aged 18 years, was killed yester- day morning at Elands, owing to a tallow-

      wood log rolling over him. The log was being, shifted at Messrs. Wallace and Whit-

      bread's sawmill to permit of a motor lorry operating. Curry was standing some distance away, and saw the log rolling to-

      wards him;. He evidently thought it would stop, and when it did not he tried to get out of the way. He tripped and fell down

      the log went over him. He lived only a few

      minutes.

      The late William Curry, whose death has
      been reported from Wingham, and which
      was caused by a log rolling on, him ata
      timber mill, was a son of Mr. William
      Curry, of this district. Papers from Wing-
      ham refer to deceased as a most popular
      and highly esteemed young /man. Mrs. A.
      Hill, junr., of Oberon, is a sister of de
      ceased. The sympathy of the community
      is extended to the family.
