      The Late Mrs. Annie Kealy
      One of the oldest and most highly-
      esteemed residents of the Paterson
      River, in the person of Mrs. Annie
      Kealy, passed away on Monday, 30th
      ultimo, at her residence, Summer Hill.
      The deceased lady was born at Manchester,
      England, 78 years ago, and
      with her parents, the late Mr. and
      Mrs. James McKeown, arrived in the
      colony in 1848, and for a time settled
      at Hexham, eventually moving to the
      Paterson River, where she resided ever
      since. She was predeceased by her
      husband 47 years ago. She was a
      devout Catholic, a model mother, a
      true and sincere friend, whose
      unbounded hospitality endeared her to
      all. During her illness she had the
      privilege of being attended by the
      Sisters of the Little Company of Mary,
      of which her daughter is a member.
      A requium mass was celebrated for
      the repose of her soul by Rev. Father
      Curran, who also conducted the last
      sad rites of the church. The remains
      were interred in the Summer Hill
      cemetery. A large number of relatives
      and friends paid their last
      tribute of respect to deceased. The chief
      mourners were: — Mesdames E.
      Keough (Sydney), W Keough (Vacy),
      D. Smith (Gresford), daughters,
      Edward, Patrick and John (sons),
      Summer Hill, Mrs. B McEwen and
      J. Brodie (sisters), John and Patrick
      (brothers).
