Burraga. [from our own correspondent.] POLICE COURT. (Before Messrs. T. A. Smith, P.M., Jas. Hall and H. H. Hackney, Js.P.) Police v. James Pusell. — Two charges of drunken- ness, with disorderly conduct and one of riotous behaviour (being his month's performance). De- fendant pleaded guilty and was fined 5s, with 5s 11d costs, on each charge.— On the application of the police a prohibition order was granted against publi- cans supplying the above-named defendant with liquor for 12 months.

A meeting of tbu local Land Board was held at
the Courthouse, Rockley, on 15th and 16th instant,
the Board consisting of Messrs. Finch (Chairman),
Kelk and Dulhunty.
The business was to confirm conditional purchases
and leases for confirmation and fixing rents, &c,
and the following is the record of the work done : —

BURRAGA. (FROM A CORRESPONDENT). At the Police Court on Thursday, before ' Messrs. T. A. Smith, M.P., and T. P. Hackney J.P., James Pusell was charged with having meat in his possession, being portion of a sheep supposed to have been stolen. The Bench dismissed the case.

James Pusell, charged on warrant with inflicting bodily harm on Thomas Ryan, at Burraga, has been arrested by Senior constable M'Lean and Constable Cheadle, Burraga Police. Committed for trial at Bathurst Quarter Sessions. Bail allowed.

Burraga, Monday. James Pusell, who, at the previous court held here, received seven days for riotous behavior, was further charged on a criminal count with inflicting grevious bodily harm on Thomas Ryan, a miner, during a drunken row last pay night, when Pusell completely bit one ear off Ryan. Dr. Lindhurst stitched the vic- tim's ear on and saved a considerable portion of it, although the part that was bitten off lay in the street for a consider- able time. Pusell was committed for trial at the approaching Bathurst Sessions. Messrs. T. P. Hackney and Jacob Barnes adjudicated.

A social was held on Monday night at the
residence of Mr. James Pusill.All arrangements
were carried out under the able management of
Miss English, assisted by Mrs. Pusill. The
eatables were really extra good. Music was
provided by Mr.J. Booth, and dancing was kept
up till daylight.
