LARGS.
The many friends in this district learned with profound regret of the death of Mrs. Michael Kealy, which sad event took place on Thursday last; February 10, at her late residence, Fosterton, Dungog. The deceased lady received a severe shock by
the news of the death of her son, William, at Cairns, North Queensland, 12 months ago last August. From this sad blow she never seemed to completely rally but it was not un- til November last that the shock made it- self severely felt. In November she was seized with an attack of hemorrhage of the brain, and although having received the skilful treatment of Dr. Nieuman, who was unremitting in his attention, and all that could possibly be done for her by a loving husband and most affectionate fam- ily, death occurred as above stated. The deceased led a most exemplary life, and died fully fortified by the rites of her Holy Church. She had the extreme pleasure of seeing at her bedside the whole of her fam- ily including her daughter Sister M. Doro- thea of St. Joseph's Convent. Her spiritual advisers were the Rev. Fathers Meagher and O'Shea, the Sisters of St. Joseph be- ing also constantly in attendance. The late Mrs. Kealy was a daughter of the late John Bowe, of Morpeth, and was 53 years of age. She is survived by her husband and a faimily of six sons and five daugh- ters. The interment took place on Friday in the Dungog cemetery, and was largely attended . The chief mourners were — hus- band, sons (Patrick, John, James, and Her- bert), brothers (John and Matthew Bowe), also John Tierney, of Dungog, and P. T. Hickey, of Bolwarra, brothers-in-law. The Rev. Father Meagher, officiated at the grave- side. Much sympathy is felt for the sor- rowing husband and family.
