Death at Fosterton.
There passed away on Wednesday morning last a very old resident of the district in the person of Mr. Michael Kelly, Fosteron. Deceased had been failing for some considerable time and his health was causing anxiety to the family. Mrs. Kealy died some nine years ago, and there is now left to mourn their sad loss Miss Maggie, Sister Dorothea (Port Macquarie), Mrs. Ambrose (Haberfield), Misses Hetty and Nellie, Messrs Patrick (Haberfield), Jack (Moree), James (late A.I.F.), Herbert Michael and Charlie (at home). Another son, William, died in Queensland some 11 years ago. Mrs. Tierney, of Dungog and Mrs. Nolan, of Newcastle, are sisters of deceased. The deceased was a native of Kilkenny,Ireland, and came to this country when a young man. He spent all his life in the Hunter River district, and most of it at Fosterton. He had reached the grand age of 71 years and had not suffered much illness until this last few years. The late Mr. Kelly enjoyed the love and esteem of a very wide circle of friends. He was an ardent church member and excellent citizen in every way. The funeral was largely attended. Rev. Father Meagher, a very old friend, conducted the burial service.

JOHN KEALY.
There passed away at Dungog on Tuesday afternoon a well-known resi dent of Fosterton, in the person.of Mr. John Kealy. Deceased was the third son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Kealy, and was born at Largs 48 years ago. He went to school in Dun gog and spent his early life in these parts. Later he worked in the Moree district.
Deceased is survived by four bro- thers, James (Fosterton), Herbert (Garah), Michael (Courailie, Moree),; and Charles (Fosterton). Two broth ers, Pat. and Will., predeceased him. There are also five sisters, Miss Mag gie (Garah), Sister Dorothea (Lochin-, var Convent), Mrs. Ambrose (Syd- ' ney), Miss Hetty (Garah), and Mrs. O. Caririgan (Courailie, Moree). The late Mr. Kealy had been ailing, for some four or five years and his end ; was not unexpected. He was a popular : figure in sporting circles in past years, particularly in racing, and in jumping : at shows. Jack, as he was familiarly called, was a good hearted, good nat ured friend and there are many who will regret to learn of his early de mise. The funeral took place on Wednes day afternoon when a large number of friends paid their last respects. Rev. Father Bourke officiated in the church and at the graveside. The pall bearers were Messrs. Herbert and Charles (brothers), Mr. M. Bowe and Mr. Dan McCarthy (of Morpeth). Deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved in their sorrow. Wreaths were received from the following: — . Mr. Michael Kealy, who for a number of years resided in Maitland, died at his resi dence, Fosterton, near Dungog, on Wed nesday, October 30. The deceased, who was a native W Kilkenny, Ireland, came to the State when quite a young man, and until the last few years enjoyed good health throughout his 71 years. He was an ex emplary Catholic and an ardent worker in Ms Church, and had the love and esteem of a wide circle of friends. Early in life he
