One man, Michael Moriarty, killed by
a fall of a boiler on Saturday at South Yarra
and three others injured.

HOISTING ACCIDENT.
THREE MEN INJURED.
MELBOURNE. Saturday.
A serious accident happened this morning at
the Melbourne electric light power-house,
South Yarra, three workmen named Michael
Moriarty (45), Edward Olsen (EG), and Chas.
Watt (41) being injured, owing to the falling
of a boiler drum from a height of 12ft. The
men were hoisting the boiler drum by means
of a block and tackle when tho accident hap-
pened. Moriarty was injured internally, and
had one of his logs broken. Olsen had one of
his hips broken, and he, too, suffered internal
injuries. Watts had a shoulder dislocated.
All three are married men, and reside at South
Melbourne, They were removed to the Alfred
Hospital.
Sunday.
Moriarty died last night, and Olson is in a
, critical condition.

Melbourne, Sunday. :
While six men were erecting a boiler
drum' weighing five tons the scaffolding
collapsed, and four men-Michael Moriarty,
Edward Olsen, Charles Watt and Jas. Jen
kins-were pinned under the boiler and
debris. They received shocking injuries,
and all were conveyed to the hospital.
Three of them are in a precarious condi
tion.
