DEATH OF Mr. GEORGE CURRY. By the death of George Guyatt Curry which took place last week, Menangle has lost one of its most highly respected citizens, who dur ing his 45 years residence here gain- ed the friendship and esteem of a wide circle of friends. Born at Strathlodden, Victoria, seventy-six and a half years ago he lived in that State until, as a young married man, he and Mrs. Curry came to N.S.W. about fifty years ago and for a few years he follow ed his trade as a baker and pastry cook with Campbelltown firms. Some forty-five years ago he came to Menangle to take charge of the late Mrs. Hickey's bakery, and con tinued in that position until about ten years ago when he and his sons took over the general storekeeping business from Hickey Bros, and con tinued to conduct the business up to the time of his death. The funeral which took place on Thursday afternoon last at St. John's Cemetery, Camden, following a ser vice in the Church was largely at tended and the numerous floral trib- utes were a striking testimony of the esteem in which deceased and his family are held. The service in the Church and at the graveside was conducted by the Rev. A. H. Kirk and Canon Cooke. Besides the widow and grown, family of four sons and two daught ers (all of whom reside in Menangle) there are also seven grand-children and a great grand-child left to mourn Link Fix this text his passing.
